Upon the Correspondence Office’s marginal note dated 14 February 1909 and numbered 12, regarding making a loan of 10,000 piasters from the municipal fund to the account of watchmen’s salaries
As there is large decrease in municipal incomes and there is now no source for necessary expenditures, the said sum cannot be paid from the municipal fund. Since this request is contrary to legislation and the Ottoman Bank, founded in Jerusalem, and now administered by the members of the Chamber of Commerce, it is appropriate to relegate the matter to the Chairmanship of the Chamber of Commerce with regard to borrowing the said sum from the bank in question. The 3rd of Shubât (1)324 (16th of February 1909).
