The council has found that Ahmad the gardener will not be able to manage the park by himself, and since the planting of trees and flowers has been delayed, this matter needs to be considered. The council has decided to appoint the gardener Pîtrû Al-Rûmî to be gardener number one. The salary allocated for this service is four hundred girsh; two hundred and twenty five piasters will be given to Pîtrû, and one hundred and seventy five piasters to the second gardener Ahmad Al-Kiswânî, starting from Kânûn Al-Awwal (1)314 until Shubât (1)314. This sum will not be enough for the two persons, so it was recommended that four hundred and fifty piasters should be designated in the budget of the following year given at the start of March (1)315; two hundred and fifty will be given to Pîtrû and two hundred for Ahmad. The mentioned salary will be given for their work and the council will have no returns except the price ----. This decision was issued on the 28th of Tishrîn Thânî (1)314 (10th of December 1898).
