We announce that after the end of the (previous) iltizâm period, the scale and weighing taxes (rusûm al kîyâlîa wa-l quntâr) in the Old City (qasaba) of Bethlehem are again proposed for a public sale (muzâyada) for a period of one entire year beginning in Mart (1)308. And in agreement (kaf yad) with the bidders the butchers tax has been determined at the level of nine hundred and fifty qirsh, the scale tax at nine thousand two hundred and fifty qirsh gross (sâgh al mîrî) for contract with the bidder according to the conditions set forth in the regulations (bûsalâyât) of public sales.
According to the established order, the mentioned taxes will be announced for eleven days as mentioned, from this date. And non-working days during this period are considered part of it. So everyone who is interested should make it known during this period. And in order for this to be known, these directions (kîfîya) were published on the 13th of Nîsân (1)308 (25th of April 1892).
