Scope and content

When they were appointed as commissioners in the Church of St. James, among others, they received: two bank bonds: the first, 27 1/2 French liras debt of priest Daout (Δαούτ), the deadline of which expires on January 9, 1886; the other of the late priest Constantine (Κωνσταντίνος) the deadline of which expires on March 9, 1886 and, because the deadline for the repayment of the two bonds has expired, the petitioners asked from the debtors the money of the waqf, and they replied that they will take care of this, and because their conscience (the commissioners) doesn't allow them to remain in silence, they submit the case to His Beatitude so that he orders the next actions to be taken, according to His good judgement.
