He was informed that His Beatitude forced his son-in-law to pay a Nafaka (divorce allowance) to his afflicted and harassed wife, but so far she has not received anything; it seems that his son-in-law doesn’t obey the orders of His Beatitude. The petitioner is a poor man; he cannot live with his daughter permanently and take care of her, so he asks that his son-in-law is forced at least to hand over his wife's jewels, and give her a divorce, since he neither accepts his wife nor does he pay Nafaka (some time ago the ecclesiastical court decided that the Nafaka will be 1 French lira per month and the decision was sent to the Dragoman).
