Upon deliberations in regard to the fire extinguisher which has been brought in again, it was necessary to appoint a person to clean it continuously and operate it when necessary. After contacting Khawâja Mikhâlûf, agent of the Palestine Society, this Khawâja was appointed for a salary of one French lira a month. Since the mentioned person has been employed on the 15th of Mârt, and in order to pay the mentioned sum from the municipality’s treasury, this decision was issued on the 9th of Mârt (1)325 (22nd of March 1909).
