Mehmed Tevik al Halik Effendi from Jerusalem has a debt of 1800 piasters from the iltizam cost of the carriages taxes for 1314 (1898 – 1899); 180 piasters from the rent cost of a shop belonging to the municipality; i.e. 1980 piasters in total. Even though the said money was repeatedly demanded from him and even a warning was issued to him in accordance with the 40. article of the municipal regulation, no result could be obtained. Hence, as regards the collection of the said money in accordance with the article of this regulation and its delivery to the municipal fund, it is appropriate to relegate the matter to the Municipal Police Force. The 3rd of Mayîs (1)316 (16th of May 1900).
