As it is self-evidently clear, brokers make interviews for the provisions, thus not only delaying their arrival but also increasing their prices and causing a loss for their owners. For the purpose of removing the said inconveniences, it has thus been considered appropriate to prohibit brokers from making interviews for goods and wandering around with their owners for sales. However, it is appropriate to relegate the matter to the Sanjak Administrative Council for negotiation and taking a decision if deemed convenient. The 1st of Kânûn Awwal (1)314 (13th of December 1898).
