The council has decided to repair several roads, but because of the lack of availability of funds (?) (hulûl qiswata) from rental income in the treasury, these repairs will be charged to next year’s budget. Therefore the council has decided to rent out four wooden stores located near the store of the khawâja Kadîmûs along with three wooden stores located outside of Bâb al Khalîl to the khawâja Abrâm Al Basrâwi for the period of one year starting from the beginning of Muharram (1)316 until Dhî al Hijja (1)316 for a rent amounting to ninety-five and half French lira. There will be a reduction of three and a half French lira of the mentioned amount, because this is what the tenant spent on repairing the mentioned stores. In order to certifiy this, this decision was taken on the 17th of Kânûn thâni (1)313 (29th of January 1898).
