The road leading to Tulûl Al Masâbin near the English college (school?) (kulliyat al inglîz) is excessively damaged and it is impossible to circulate on it because of its decay (?). Therefore the council has decided to repair it under the supervision on honorable Yusûf Effendi Nusaybi and the engineer Ibrâhîm, on the condition that the expenses do not exceed 700 piasters. In order for this to start and to pay what is needed in installments from the council’s treasury, this decision was taken on the 27th of Kânûn awal (1)313 (8th of January 1898).
