The reason underlying the fact that the tax paid to the public measurer (keyyâliye) and weighing (kantar) tax have not reached its value of the recent years is that some amount of grain did not reach here due to a quarantine effectuated on account of cholera that appeared last year. As there is already a little shortage of tax, it is understood that it would be more appropriate to sell off these taxes as iltizam rather than collect them on government account. Nevertheless, it is appropriate to relegate this matter again to the Sanjak Administrative Council. The 6th of Nîsân (1)308 (18th of April 1892).
