The tax of the macadam extending from Jerusalem to Jaffa was put on Dutch auction to the account of 1311 (1895 - 1896). After the completion of bidding, it was decided that it be undertaken at a rate of 111,500 piasters by its suitor. This matter was announced for eleven days as of the 14. day of last month and it must also be announced in Jaffa. It is appropriate to notify the Kaymakamlık of Jaffa for swiftly informing here if there is any suitor there to offer a five-percentage increase. The 14th of Mârt (1)312 (26th of March 1896).
