Cronologia
Al-Budeiri Library is a small private library and archive located in the Old City of Jerusalem.
The Al-Budeiri Library grew out of the personal library of an eighteenth-century Sufi scholar, Sheikh Mohamed Ibn Budeir Al Budeiri, a man of faith and learning from a noble family in Jerusalem who lived in the Old City for nine hundred years, originally from the Hijaz, and who studied at Al-Azhar. For a long period before 2003, the library was closed and neglected. The Budeiri family renovated the library with the funds of the family members and reopened it in 2003. Since then, the library has acquired and repaired 520 additional manuscripts.
