Turjmân Effendi of the Armenian Patriarchate has requested to rent the stables located inside the gate of Prophet Dâwûd, which belong to the municipal council. After reviewing the entries, it has appeared that the term of its lease starts from the first of Kânûn Awwal (1)314. Since this could disrupt the entries, it should be amended to conform to other leases from the start of Muharram, the council has decided to lease the recommended location for one year and three and a half months, starting from the 15th of Ramadân (1)316 and until Thi Al-Hijjah (1)317, for a sum of twenty two riyâl majîdî, with seventeen riyâl majîdî for each year. One month and fifteen days would have passed from Kânûn Awwal until the 14th day of Ramadân (1)316, a sum of thirty one sagh piasters should be collected from the previous tenant, Khawâjah Abrâm Dâsah, for his previous lease of thirteen riyâl majîdî for each year. Accordingly, the decision was taken on the 19th of Kânûn Thânî (1)314 (31st of January 1899).
