There is a midwife in Jerusalem, named Madame Ester Bardahi (?) and she has a certificate, dated 4 December 1889 and numbered 23, taken from the Imperial School of Medicine. It is hereby presented that she practices her profession accordingly, that the other midwives who do not have any license are very old and so they shall not be able to go İstanbul. The 30th of Kânûn awal (1)313 (11th of January 1898).
