Scope and content

Upon the petition presented by the multazim of the macadam tax to the account of 1320 (1904-1905)
A shop in the Şeref Neighborhood, Davud Emin Effendi Al Şerfa, Number 311 (Value 63,000 piasters)
A house in the Bab-al-silsile Neighborhood, Davud Emin Effendi Al Şeref, Number 4 (Value 21,600 piasters)
The petitioner Davud Al Şeref, the multazim of the Jerusalem-Jaffa macadam tax to the account of 1320 (1904-1905), paid 141,750 piasters in total to the municipal fund, which is the cost of this tax. As a guarantee for the said sum, his above-written two real properties at a value of 84,600 piasters were seized. However, he submitted a bid of 110,000 piasters for the said tax to the account of next year, 1321 (1905-1906). It is considered appropriate for the present moment to seize among the real properties submitted as an exchange for the said sum a shop at a value of 63,000 piasters; thus, with the removal of the seizure of the other house which is at a value of 21,600 piasters, the house which is at a value of 63,000 piasters must be left as seized. It is appropriate to relegate this matter to the Office of Main Register of Revenues. The 10th of Shubât (1)320 (23rd of February 1905).
