The tax farmer for the brokerage tax (rusûm al dalâla) for the year (1)313 Mustafa Zâyid has stopped paying the installments from the beginning of Tishrîn awal (1)313 until Shbât (1)313. If it remains in his hands for the three years of his contract (iltizâm), meaning from the year (1)313 until the year (1)315, he would lose all brokerage fees. Therefore it has been decided to open it up for public bidding again for the two years of (1)314 and (1)315. And through the announcement (?) of the fees which will be decided the needed response will be found (?). And in order for the regulations of the public bid to be written up in this way, this decision was taken on the 23rd of Shubât (1)313 (7th of March 1898).
