The tax of the macadam extending from Jerusalem to Jaffa was put on Dutch auction to the account of 1314 (1898 – 1899). It was decided that it be undertaken at a rate of 117,200 piasters by Abdurrahman Effendi Al Naşaşibi under the guarantee of Osman Naşaşibi Effendi and it thus reached its previous cost. This matter was announced for eleven days as of the 23. day of last month; hence, it is appropriate to notify the Kaymakamlık of Jaffa that it must also be announced in Jaffa. The 23rd of Shubât (1)313 (7th of March 1898).
