This petition has been examined by our council. The gas administration is indeed at a nearly half-hour distance from the railway station and various boxes used for a highly-paid transfer of gas and spirit are usually broken. It is thus understood that commerce suffers from this. As a purpose of preventing the said inconveniences, it has turned out that it is indispensable to construct a gas administration in a place close to the railway station. Besides, since the current old administration is not not sufficient to accommodate the coming gas, it is necessary to construct a warehouse in addition to the current buildings. Until the arrangement of the ensuing expenses for the construction of this requested warehouse around the railway, it is promised by the petitioners that 0.2 piasters shall be taken in addition to 2 piasters being taken from each gas box for a period of one day to a month. Therefore, following a communication with the Monastery deputy for renting there the land belonging to the Greek Monastery, an agreement has been attained in terms hereby presented. In accordance with the attached map and inspection register, 75,368 piasters shall be needed for the construction of the requested administration. The approximate annual amount of gas boxes coming here is forty thousand, and it is estimated that a debt can be contracted for four to five years for the sum in question. It is considered that the said place can be constructed via contracting a debt from a relevant bank on behalf of the municipality at a rate of six percent; however, as regards negotiating the matter, and if deemed suitable, taking a decision to take due action in respect thereof, it is appropriate to relegate the matter now to the Sanjak Administrative Council.
