We announce the opening of a Dutch auction for the construction of an imperial government building in the district of B’îr Al Sab‘a according to the present map, conditions and inspection. The Dutch auction will be open for 10 days from Saturday morning the 29th of Tamûz (1)316 excluding Friday and Sunday. After the end of the period, it will be hung up for 3 days. So everyone who wants to bid can inform the district administrative council daily from 7 in the morning until 10. The bidder has to present a sponsor/ guarantor whose property has the value of 50 000 piasters, which represent a quarter of the proposed contract.
The property of the sponsors will be safeguarded (?) in the cadaster and property tax office (qilm al tâbû wa al vîrkû). Whoever wants to offer a financial guarantee / sponsorship, has to put down the amount of 20 000 piasters as a deposit which is one tenth of the proposed contract. So whoever is interested, should contact the district administrative council within the specified days. And in order for this to be known, these directions were published on the 29th of Tammûz (1)316 (11th of August 1900).
