The road in the beginning of the Jewish quarter (mahallat al mûsawîyya) which leads to the Gate of our prophet Dâwûd (peace upon him) does not have sewage drains, sidewalks or street paving. Therefore any passage there is very difficult on rainy days. The big amount of water damages the buildings in that area. Based on the complaints voiced by most of the inhabitants, it is necessary to inspect this road. The inspection conducted by the first engineer of the municipality has led us to understand that 60 meters of sewage canals, 80 meters of street paving and 537 meter of sidewalk need to be constructed. For this about 14 124 piasters are needed. Considering the lack of financial aid, the municipality will pay the totality of the mentioned amount from the council’s treasury. In order for this amount to be distributed and levied, this decision was taken on the 14th of Huzayrân (1)320 (27th of June 1904).
