Scope and content

It has been announced that 60 people from the village of Silvan shall be sent for the work to be carried out in the Jericho road. As is self-evident, by virtue of the fact that the said village neighbors the kaza of Jerusalem, the majority of the folk has undertook not only the task of bringing rubble and water for this road work, but also of bringing the water to be extracted during the period when His Highness the Emperor shall be in Jerusalem. They are now preparing the necessary materials and if these people are sent away, the said work would be abandoned; hence, the matter of exempting the said village folk from their obligations is relegated to the mutasarrifate. Undated.
