Upon the letter, dated 20 February 1905 and numbered 549, by the General Staff, regarding the determination of the estimated price of bread on account of the fact that the current price of bread provided by the contractor to the Imperial Army does not meet the requirements
The first sample of bread delivered with this letter was controlled by our council in the presence of experts and the hereby presented specifications document was also examined; and it was found that the weight of this bread to be exact, i.e., 100 dirham. However, it was observed that it was not in compliance with the other specifications written in the hereby presented document and each kilo of it was assessed to be 0.35 piasters as respected current akçe. The second sample of the said bread was considered to be in compliance with specifications to a certain extent and both samples have hereby been presented in return. The 9th of Shubât (1)320 (22nd of February 1905).
