Upon the decision, dated 25 December 1906 and numbered 1154, taken by the Sanjak Administrative Council, regarding the Dutch auction of the transfer fee of the mail from Jaffa to Jerusalem and vice versa in accordance with the Dutch auction bill given by the Mail Directorate due to the introduction of mail driving in addition to railroad
In accordance with the specification in the attachment given by the Mail Directorate, the said fee was put on Dutch auction. After the completion of bidding, it was decided that the work be undertaken by Yakup Şakir Ağa at a monthly rate of 1,000 piasters as respected current akçe. The 30th of Kânûn Awwal (1)322 (12th of January 1907).
