By the beginning of the year (1)310, it has been decided by the council to authorize al-Hâj Husayn and Shlomo Effendi to supervise the slaughtering taxes, and one of the municipal guards, 'Ibrâhîm to supervise animal taxes. And until their authorization takes effect, it is necessary to lighten and clean [the slaughterhouse] with the knowledge of the former contractors. Accordingly, this decision was taken on the 28th of Shubât (1)310 (12th of March 1895).
