The council has decided to appoint the respectable Yâsîn Effendi with Na‘ûs Effendi, Niqula Effendi and engineer Ibrâhîm Effendi to supervise the leveling and cleaning of the road that extends from the end of the trench, known as ‘Aqabat Sahyûn, which is located outside Jaffa Gate until Prophet David Gate, and the Maghariba Gate, with the knowledge of the municipality, on condition that it does not exceed the inspection of the recommended engineer. In order to start work, organize the expenses register and pay the expenses from the municipality’s treasury, with the knowledge of Dâwûd ‘Abdul-Rahmân Qataniyya as observer, this decision was taken on the 22nd of Agustos (1)314 (3rd of September 1898).
