In accordance with the notice of the court of first instance dated on the 15th of Kânûn Awwal [holding] the number sixty six, and with the bond taken on Yûsuf 'Ilyâs Khamîs, the contractor of slaughterhouse construction, the completion of the construction of the above-mentioned slaughterhouse has been undertaken on the account of the mentioned contractor [and] with the knowledge of one of the council members, Shlomo Effendi and the [municipal] engineer 'Ibrâhîm Effendi. And since the decided amount in favor of the contractor which was twenty eight thousand and five hundred piasters has been totally paid to the mentioned contractor, Shlomo Effendi, Sirûfîm Effendi and the [municipal] engineer and yet the construction of the mentioned slaughterhouse has not been finished. [Therefore] its construction is necessary and it is not possible to leave it without finishing. Accordingly, the council has decided to pay, in addition to what has been already paid to the contractor, Shlomo Effendi and 'Ibrâhîm Effendi to finish the mentioned construction from the municipality treasury in Jerusalem whatever it costs. Then the amount will be collected from the contractor with the knowledge of the court of first instance. In order for this to be clarified, this decision was taken on the 6th of Huzayrân (1)311 (18th of June 1895).
