Since the tax farming period of taxes for the road leading from Jerusalem to Jaffa and those for the leisure carriages have come to an end, it has been decide to propose them for public bid. And in agreement with the bidders, it has been decided that the taxes of Jerusalem-Jaffa road amounted for one hundred and five thousand piasters, and those of the carriages amounted for forty six thousand piasters. Accordingly, it has been decided by the council to hang up [this information] for three days starting at the date below. Therefore, the taxes are to be authorized by Tuesday, 10 o’clock Arab time. In order for this to be approved, these directions were announced on the 25th of Shubât (1)310 (9th of March 1895).
