The abbot Maximos has been persecuting him without any reason but only for profit, because he owed him 25 mecits and he gave him back only 20 mecits, and for the remaining 5 mecits, he just gave him the equivalent in iron and sheep which he has in his possession. He is kindly asking to be relieved from the persecution of the abbot, so that he isn't forced to abandon the village.
