Even though it has been demanded that the 130 kilos of gunpowder to be used in Jaffa in the month of Ramadan be purchased from the Jaffa arsenal, it has been stated in the letter sent from the Jaffa Mayorship that there is currently no such material. Hence, as regards the purchase at the ascertained price of the requested gunpowder from the arsenal here, it is appropriate to notify the Jerusalem Area Commandership in respect thereof. The 21st of Kânûn Awwal (1)314 (2nd of January 1899).
