It was stated in the report sent by the municipal engineer on 22 March 1899 that an unlicensed church and a room had been started to be constructed in the land owned by Abıfanyos (?) Effendi, one of the bishops of the Greek monastery located in the Tûr mountain. It was declared in reply that when the problem was notified to his Excellency the Patriarch Effendi his excellencies, it was enjoined that the said bishops not construct an unlicensed building and request a license for the construction of these buildings. In order to notify this issue to the Mutasarrıf and to follow it up, it is appropriate to relegate the matter to the Office of Main Registers of Revenues. The 10th of Mârt (1)315 (22nd of March 1899).
