In accordance with the request by the respectable ‘Alî Effendi al-Hajâ'î and Waliyyi Eddîn Effendi al-Hajâ'î al-Khatîb, an inspection has been realized on the buildings under construction by Dâr al-Nashâshîbî next to al-Silsilah Bathhouse, and it has been found that the three qayâmît? claimed have been built. The master Ilyâs al-Bâtmânî has been already alerted not to build these qayâmît and not to work on the claimed place, but [nonetheless] he broke the warning. Therefore, it has been decided [by the council] to fine the aforementioned with an amount of twenty five piasters in accordance with the article [number] two hundred and fifty four of the imperial (haMâyisnî) criminal code, to notify Dâr al-Nashâshîbî not to proceed building on the claimed place and to transfere the request of the respectable 'Alî Effendi and Waliyyi Eddîn Effendi al-Hajâ'î to the court of first instance. Accordingly this decision was taken on the 8th of Mârt (1)315 (20th of March 1899).
