Return to Jerusalem from Constantinople via Beiruth. Stay at Consul Basili, meeting with P. Trubeckoj, stories about Emperor Paul I. In Jerusalem since January 26, 1850. Discussions on the restauration of the dome of the Temple of Holy Sepulchre. Visit to the Franciscan monastery. Dicussions about the tsar in Bethlehem church, the restauration of the dome in Jerusalem. Stay in Jerusalem till March 18. Journey to Egypt. Historical data on the church of Egypt and extracts from Greek manuscripts, made in Alexandria and Kairo. Marginal notes in Greek and Arabic.
Contains: Orogonal document in Arab, a recommendation letter to 2 abbots of monasteries in Lybia (f. 57a). Plan of the monastery of St. George in Old Kairo (f. 48v); another plan of a church (f. 46). The text was copied by Porphyrij later, partly probably in 1855-1856.
