Statement concerning the construction of House for guests (misafirhane) and Hospital (Hastahane) for the Catholic people in Quds-i sherif. There is a report (taqrir) of the Catholic Patriarch on this question.

The documents in Ottoman-Turkish and Arabic kept in the “Cyril and Methodius” National Library contain valuable material for the study of the social, economic, political and cultural development of the Arab countries from the XVIth to the XXth century.

The documents included in the inventory offer a rich material for studies in the field of the Arabic and the Ottoman-Turkish diplomatics and paleography, language research, as well as for special regional and town studies.

It concerns the possession of a garden (bagche) situated in Quds-i sherif, in the quarter (mahalle) belonged to the Waqf of Hānqah Salahiyah. First of all the garden was in possession of the Georgian inhabitants in Quds. Later they leaved the city. Since 47 years the garden is in possession of the Greek Patriarch (Rum Patriği).
Note: The document is not dated. The name of the Greek Patriarch written in Arabic letters seems to be to Chrysanthus.

It concerns the event happened with some English travelers (tourists) in the quarter of Vārikha as a result of the action of English physician (tabib) Maq Gawan in Quds-i sherif.

The protestant bishop, appointed by English state, leaved for the place of nomination – Quds-i sherif.
The document gives also information about the translation of the official speech of the Queen of England as well the gift for the woman (madama) of Russia ambassador Baron Brunov.

Letter by the governor (mutasarrif) of the liva’ of Quds-i sherif to the Ministry of Finances. The sum of 120 000 piastres (gurush) which represents the fifth payment of the loan of the sanjaq of Quds was put in a parcel and by means of the Yafa qovernor (qaymaqam) – transmitted to the Austria Post steamship.

Note (pusula) containing the stamp of the Finance Department of the liva’ of Quds-i sherif. The fifth payment of the loan of the sanjaq of Quds was payed and brought to the State treasury (hazina).

Printed form of a receipt (maqbuz senedi). The sum of 120 000 gurush was brought in the State treasury.
