Regarding the issue of broadening the Jaffa road: The Sultan has approved the issue of broadening the Jaffa Road, the permission of which was asked by the resolution of the Council of Ministers. Although the construction work had started thereupon, in the middle of the abovementioned road, there is a room that had long been inhabited by the quarantine officers. This room, which was used as a salt storehouse due to its availability along with another room that belongs to our council, prevents the broadening of the road. For that reason, it is appropriate to refer the issue to the Sanjak Administrative Council for the decision of destruction of the rooms in question. The 27th of Agustos (1)314 (8th of September 1898).
