It has been considered necessary to take all kinds of benevolent actions for the families of Reserve soldiers currently under arms and to supply, when needed, money and substantial help that may help in reducing their needs. Due to the fact that the families of the reserve soldiers summoned last year and dispatched from here are now experiencing poverty and misery, it was ratified by our council for the purpose of reducing their needs to take 60 paras from the butchers for each of the big cattle to be slaughtered and 30 paras for the small ones; 20 paras for big sheep and goats; and 10 paras for small sheep and goats, and distribute this money to the said families. The situation was thereupon relegated the Sanjak Administrative Council and the stated practice was found convenient and the council decision dated 21 August 1897 set forth that the said practice be accordingly realized. At the moment, there are some butchers are avoiding the payment of this money; in accordance with the hereby presented register, 656 piasterss 20 paras are due February and it is thus appropriate to relegate the matter to the Municipal Police Force for the collection of this money.
