This is to announce the opening of a Dutch auction for seven hundred fifty thousand uqqa of wheat and one million uqqa of rye for the salaries (murtabât) of the Hijaz railway, according to the registered conditions. The price of the uqqa of wheat has been determined at 34 para and the uqqa of rye at 28 para by an interested bidder in Beirut. Whoever is interested in this bid should contact the council within two days. Accordingly, these directions (kîfîyya) were published on the 24th of Agustos (1)310 (5th of September 1894).
