An address concerning the protection of the rights of the Christians and the Jews in the eyalet of Sham is sent to the Police officials in Quds and Gazza. On 10 Djemaziulevvel the Patriarchs of the three nationalities (milel) and the Khakham bashi were received in the Sublime Porte and acquainted with the Sultan orders on the same matter.
