Scope and content

A diplomatic note by the Italian Embassy stating that the seals of the Russian consulate in Jerusalem were broken by the local administration and the documents were searched, and also mentioning that it was reported that this was a reaction to the invasion of Turkish consulates in Russia although an agreement had been reached between Italia and Ottoman State that the consulates shall not be encroached and that the aforementioned consulate shall be delivered to the Italian consulate. Dispatch sent to the Interior Ministry informing about the dispatch that sent by the local administration to state that they did not invade the consulate, and the doors were locked by the Italian Consulate, was not satisfactory, thus in order to send a satisfactory note to the Italian Embassy concerning with whether Russian Consulate’s document was searched or not, it should be questioned whether there was any need to search it in the future or not. 3-5: no signature; 1-2: documents in a foreign language .
