It has been decided on the council level to rent the old library located out of Jaffa Gate to Salîm Thâbit Ma’lûf al-Zihlâwî for a period of three years starting in Muharram (1)313 until the end of Dhî al-Hijjah (1)315 for an amount of one hundred and sixty five French Liras; fifty five Liras for each year. [Thus,] the yearly rent is to be paid in four installments [as follow:] thirteen French Liras and three quarters in advance, and then an installment at the end of each three months. Thus, the rent of (1)313 will be paid by the end of Ramadân, and so on for the years of (1)314 and (1)315. ========= ?? In order for this to be approved, this decision was taken on the 12th of Huzayrân (1)311 (24th of June 1895).
