The district administrative council has given a decision dated on the 2nd of Kânûn thânî (1)322 and bearing the number 1315 which stipulates that 30 qintâr of wood from the imperial land in the village of Jericho should be cut and sent here for sale as a test to see if this is profitable or not. It has been understood from the correspondence dated on the 7th of Kânûn thânî (1)322 and bearing the number 2040 that it is necessary to send 300 piasters for expenses linked to the cutting of the trees and paying the 10 carriers in order to bring the mentioned wood. Therefore it has been decided to spend the 300 piasters mentioned sâfî al mîrî from the municipality’s treasury and to send it to the mentioned directorate. For the reception of the mentioned wood and its sale it has been decided to nominate one of us, the honorable Al Hâj Sa‘îd Effendi Al Daqâq. The needed carriers have been sent. In order for this to be approved, this decision was taken on the 17th of Kânûn Thânî (1)322 (30th of January 1907).
