The old road leading to Jûrat Al ‘Inâb and Al Nîkûfuriya is full of sand and difficult to travel on, so an inspection is necessary. It has become clear that 30 French liras would be needed (for repairs). Since it has been found that the head of the Holy Sepulcher had added a large quantity of sand and that the khawâja
Dawûd Kûkiâ has been benefitting from the road, twenty French liras were taken from them. They were paid to the building master Yûsuf Din Dawûd and Mustafa Al Daklîlî from Silwân. Ten liras were still outstanding, so it has been decided by the council to pay them from the council’s treasury in order to respond to the need. In order to certify this, this decision was taken on the 17th of Tishrîn thâni (1)313 (29th of November 1897).
