Complaints that they have no court defense, that their rights have been violated by the Latins, that these Latins exercise their influence, above all in the case of Salem Isaac/Σάλεμ Ισαάκ (a case of inheritance which was judged by the Ecclesiastical Court and a decision was made; but His Beatitude refused the decision ordering for a compromise to be made, and because the compromise failed, the case reached the Government; it is also said that they appealed to court in Constantinople. Finally, they ask to give court defense to Salem Isaac (Σάλεμ Ισαάκ) either here or in Constantinople.
