To all gas and spirit merchants in Jerusalem
The report dated on the 9th of August, number six, which was presented by the director of the Gas Department in Jerusalem, stated that according to Article Five of the Gas Departments’ Law, shops should not store more than six gas boxes and three kantars of spirits. Given that merchants of Jerusalem did not abide by the rules of this article, it was necessary to communicate the procedures to them, and prevent them from storing more than the mentioned amounts. If gas boxes or barrels of spirit in their shops were not stamped, the owners will be considered smugglers and the substances will be confiscated. In order for this to be known, these procedures were published on the 11th of Agustos (1)324 (24th of August 1908).
