This is the marginal note with reference to the petition, dated 18 May 1910, presented by Ömer Naccar (?) from the village of Beyt Decin (?)
In the iltizam specifications mentioned in the above-indicated marginal note by the Jaffa Municipal Council, it is written that no tax be taken from non-priced and non-commercial draught animals, carriages and wares. As can be understood from this stipulation, no tax can be taken from carriages used free of charge; however, as a result of the interrogation, it has been understood that the petitioner does not use a carriage but run a caravan (?), using it for loading wares to be taken to Jaffa. Hence, it is appropriate to notify to the Kaymakamlık of the Kaza of Jaffa that he be warned as to the fact that the requested tax must be given. The 15th of Mayîs (1)326 (28th of May 1910).
