Upon the letter, dated 15 August 1901 and numbered 7, sent by the Council of State Chairmanship, regarding the recompense to be taken from sheep and black cattle for necessary expenses to be paid to the Veterinarian Inspector when he is sent to the slaughterhouse
In the event that the Veterinarian Inspector goes somewhere else on duty or as an obstacle occurs, it is possible to get the said job done by the doctors of either the municipality or the hospital with a daily wage at a monthly sum of 250 piasters. In Jerusalem, 100 to 150 sheep and goats, 8 to 12 black cattle are slaughtered a day; and it is appropriate to write in reply that if 0.05 piasters is taken from each sheep and 0.1 piasters from each black cattle, one can expect an annual income of 6,000 to 6,500 piasters. The 20th of Agustos (1)317 (2nd of September 1901).
