Scope and content

Upon the letter, dated 28 May 1901 and numbered 65, regarding the transfer fee of the posts sent from Beersheba to Halil and from Halil to Beersheba.
The posts from Beersheba to Halil and from Halil to Beersheba will be conversely transferred twice a week. The conditions of the Dutch auction shall be implemented in line with the contract in effect for drivers working between Jerusalem and Halil and the provisions of the Dutch auction note on this matter. After the examination, it was understood that a copy of the enclosed Dutch auction note had been demanded. When the mail transfer fee from Beersheba to Halil and from Halil to Beersheba was put on Dutch auction, no one had any interest in bidding. Since it is possible that some suitors from Halil, Gaza and Beersheba may come to the fore, it is appropriate that a copy of the said note be sent with its attachment and the situation be notified to local kaymakamlıks. The 28th of Mayîs (1)317 (10th of June 1901).
