By the beginning of the year (1)315, it has been decided on the council level to appoint the following officers in charge of municipal taxes and finance department: Hasan Shakir Wahbî Effendi in charge of leisure carriages' taxes with a daily salary of half Majîdî and under the supervision of the former tax farmer Muhammad Tawfîq Effendi al-Khalîlî, Husayn Effendi Nusaybah in charge of slaughter taxes with a daily salary of half Majîdî and under the supervision of Bahâ' Eddin Khalîl al 'Aklîk, Abdul al-Latîf Effendi al-Danif in charge of the center of road taxes in Jerusalem with a daily salary of half Majîdî and under the supervision of ‘Ali Effendi al-Nashâshîbî, and that of Bâb al-Wâd in charge of al-Mughrabî al-Hâj Alî already appointed by the former tax farmer, starting from the beginning of Mârt (1)315 [under the condition] to have bonds from their part. In order for this to be known, this decision was taken on the 1st of Mârt (1)315 (13th of March 1899).
