In accordance with the report presented by the municipal engineer Effendi dated on the 30th of Mârt (1)315, it has been found that the master Mîna Bulbul and the master Yûsuf al-Jamal are working on the land of the khwâjah Wâlirû (Valero ?), outside of Damascus Gate, in contrast with the permit given to the aforementioned [Wâlirû] as they transgressed the road with two cubits from the eastern direction by building more constructions, and they [therefore] blocked the outset of the road leading to the cave under the town. Accordingly, it has been decided on the council level to demolish the mentioned constructions in accordance with the permit, and to fine the masters to pay 50 piasters. In order for this to be approved, this decision was taken on the 30th of Mârt (1)315 (11th of April 1899).
