It has been announced to the public that since much transgressions and damages from enmity between farmers has affected the orchards of olive, fig and grapevine in many areas of Jerusalem district, and almost none of the aggressors have been identified. And in accordance with the former request in this regard, the royal decree has been issued to extend the current "usûl al-qisamah"!! that includes burned straw, grass, mulberry or places of silkworms to the cutting down of olive and fig trees and grapevine. Therefore, if olive and fig trees or grapevine were cut down without identifying the aggressor, the value of the trees will be compensated in accordance with "usûl al-qisamah". In order for this to be known, these directions were published on the 24th of Mârt (1)315 (5th of April 1899).
